Elisha

Elisha has been trained in Ballet, for 18 years. She was taught the Russian Vaganova, and Royal Academy of Dance, (RAD) ballet techniques. She currently teaches the Vaganova technique. At the age of twelve she decided to widen her horizon and try other styles of dance as well. Those other styles include Modern, Jazz, Hip Hop & others.
Upon graduating from high school she trained at M.T.S.U. and is currently involved in the Certificate Dance Program at Vanderbilt University. Elisha is also part of Still Point dance company. A modern dance company that travels and performs around the world. She will also be training this year with José Limón’s world renowned modern dance company.
Blessed & willing, Elisha started Histown Dance Studio 6 years ago. Her heart for Histown is to be a studio that strives for excellence and dances with a strong purpose. Histown offers classes for all ages and levels.  Elisha has performed in several dance companies, productions, conferences, Colleges, Schools, Cruises, churches, competitions, and music videos with artists including Rebecca St. James and Chris Tomlin. She has also choreographed for many productions, ministries, churches, recitals and various performances.  Elisha has lead the after-school inner-city dance program at Rocketown. Also, she has taught all ages and levels at dance studios, schools & churches and was even blessed with the opportunity to teach dance in the Nashville projects.
By far being able to run and teach at her studio has been the most incredible experience.
She, along with Teresa Farley, is the director of this faith-based, family oriented dance studio.

Blake Davis

Blake Davis

C. Blake Davis

Blake started theatre at the Cumberland County Playhouse in 1994 and became a part of the CCP dance program in early 1995. For the following 12 years Blake worked extensively with the CCP company in dance and musical theatre.

Blake was trained in Ballet under Kirov Ballet (Vaganova Academy) masters Eldar Valev (Mikhail Baryshnikov's successor) and Lilia Valieva (Iceland's featured ballerina, principal dancer in the Ballet of Bashkortostan in Ufa and South Carolina's Greeneville Ballet).

In Tap and Jazz under Kiersten Mays (Top 10 in the nation, UPTA's head choreographer) and Jeremy Benton ("42nd Street" Broadway Tour dance captain, dancer in "The Producers" [major motion picture]).

In Modern under Jennifer Venable Austin (Trained under the Martha Graham Company, Alvin Aliey, Limon School, Bob Fosse, Louigi, Frank Hatchett, Joe Tremaine and the Joffrey Ballet).

Among many others.

Blake has also appeared in such productions as “Cats” (Alonzo/Macavity), Les Miserables (Enjolras), Joseph...Dreamcoat (Zebulan), The Wizard of Oz (Tinman), along with three separate productions of The Nutcracker (Nutcracker Prince, Arab Doll, Russian Dancer, Fight Nutcracker), to name only a few. Along with many dance productions, benefits and company shows.

Blake's love for teaching, background in theatre, passion for heartfelt worship and belief that “Whatever you do, you should work at it with all your heart as working for the Lord, not for men” makes him a teacher that focuses heavily on the heart, soul, passion and performance of dance.

Blake only very recently moved to the Nashville area, pursuing opportunities in film. “If I believed in chance meetings, I would think that my random *chance* introduction to HisTown Dance Studio was one of the craziest of all”.he says, “I am thrilled to be a part of one of the rare studios that focuses heavily on excellence and technique, because if you have passion and excellence in your core as a dancer, you will have passion and excellence in your work, relationships, life and spiritual journey.”
